Trump dismisses NATO threat, downplays Ratcliffe's Moscow visit

Filed · 3 publisher pages · upstream origin unresolved

U.S. President Donald Trump stated on Aug. 27 that he was not concerned about the possibility of a Russian attack on NATO and downplayed CIA Director John Ratcliffe’s recent trip to Moscow.

Trump described Ratcliffe’s Aug. 25 visit as 'standard business' and dismissed reports that the CIA director had traveled to Moscow to deliver a warning to Russia.

Several major U.S. outlets have reported that Ratcliffe sees his Russian counterpart once every six months or once every year, and there was no message and nothing unusual.
