Over 100 Israeli settlers attacked a West Bank village on Tuesday, blocking a Palestinian family's return to their home and clashing with Israeli troops. Three security personnel were injured as settlers burned two Palestinian homes and blocked access roads.
The attack occurred after the Israeli military escorted the family back to their homes in Jalud village following displacement by settler violence. Settlers seized the Tubasi family's homes weeks ago, and the family was temporarily housed elsewhere until the military agreed to escort them back.
The incident highlights ongoing settler violence in the West Bank, with Israeli officials condemning the attacks and calling for legal action. Settlers have been emboldened by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government, which has expanded settlements in the area.
Settlers also set fire to cars and spraypainted an apartment building in Al Mughayyir, reflecting broader violence. Local residents remain resilient, stating they will endure the ongoing conflict.
