Filed · 3 publisher pages · upstream origin unresolved

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Wednesday Israel will investigate the co-pilot involved in an attempted crash of an Israel-bound flydubai flight, with the incident involving a stabbing on board and a near-miss with a 14,000-foot plunge.

Netanyahu said the attacker, an Omani national, is being questioned in Saudi Arabia and may be transferred to the UAE for further investigation. The flight, which had 170 passengers, landed safely in Saudi Arabia after passengers and crew wrestled the attacker from the cockpit.

Israeli officials said the incident, described as an attempted terrorist attack, is under investigation, with no indication of Iranian involvement. Netanyahu emphasized the need for caution in speculation while authorities gather facts.

Netanyahu said Israel may participate in the probe into the suspect, who is being questioned in Saudi Arabia. The attacker's motive remains under investigation, with no comment from Oman or the UAE.
