Houthi strikes hit Saudi airport twice in two days

Filed · 3 publisher pages · upstream origin unresolved

Houthi attacks strike Saudi airport twice in two days, killing 13 and injuring 308. The attacks come a day after a deadly strike on the same airport, with the Houthis warning against using Saudi airports and airspace.

The Houthis claimed responsibility for the attacks, stating they targeted the airport with a mix of ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as drones. They also attacked oil facilities and Dammam airport in eastern Saudi Arabia. Saudi authorities said a projectile hit King Khalid International Airport, causing a fire in one of its passenger halls.

The attacks have drawn condemnation from world leaders, with the UN and European Commission calling for an end to the violence. The Saudi-led coalition has vowed to respond, calling the attacks a 'war crime'. The conflict between the Houthis and Saudi-backed Yemeni forces has escalated, with the Houthis warning of further attacks and a 'war crime' if Saudi Arabia continues its military involvement in Yemen.
